Calais Camp | 2016

I saw Calais camp for the first time in January 2016. This was a heartbreaking, overwhelming and infuriating experience. I witnessed Europe's failure to address the massive humanitarian crisis that is unfolding within its borders. Borders that kill ruthlessly everyday. People need to know what is happening there. I didn't take any close-up portraits and blurred the eyes, by respect for the privacy of these thousand faces that the French and British governments still refuse to see. 6000 people were believed to live in Calais Camp at that time.
